The purpose of life is to have a life of purpose by Rajiv 'Ranjan'

The purpose of life is to have a
life of purpose

Rajiv Ranjan

Life is  always  so unfair and never so easy
It moves at a fast pace and keeps us busy
Years  whizz  past  as  if  it  was  yesterday
Our days of youth and glamour fade away

Nature grinds very fine our actions sublime
Gives it back, unannounced, in its own time
We sow and reap the fruits of our deeds
Heaven and hell are stories for the creeds

The mind plays the tricks and guides it all
Control your thoughts and you will never fall
Mind is like a garden; uncared, weeds grow
Beautiful gardens need work, steady and slow

It can only flower and grow during the right season
Plough, weed and harvest with good reason
These are  cardinal principles of agriculture
Heavens bestow upon us eternal laws of nature

There are unopened gifts nature gave us all
Freedom of choice is always our personal call
Body, mind, heart and spirit are four intelligences
On Natural laws and humanity, our life impinges

Always act within your circle of influences
Circle of concerns are large where mind binges
One step at a time on a journey of thousand miles
Nothing changes in a day but slowly luck smiles

Enhance your capabilities with training and knowledge
Yet outcome and capabilities balance, we must acknowledge
Principle centred leadership keeps life on even keel
Strikes a balance between segments on life's wheel

A fulfilling life needs personal leadership with strong purpose
Follow your visions and dreams with  proactivity focus
Goals and targets emerge from end results in kept in mind
Prioritisation happens when first things first in us we find

Interpersonal leadership is at the heart of interdepence
Listen first with empathy to build trust with prudence
Synergy of efforts locks energies to get ahead with passion
Having done all, we follow balanced renewal with compassion

Change is like a ripple in a pond that starts small
Yet inside out that ripples grow to cover the  pond over all
The change begins small as in a tornado at the bottom
And rises up to become mighty forces that blossom
