In support of Laziness

I lay on my couch 

Doing nothing

Letting my mind wander

Floating like a floss of begunia

On the winds of time

In the alleys of memory

That's fleeting and zipping by

At no certain pace

Cachophonies of the world

Dimmed and pass by

The pleasure was pure

The monkey brain

Jumped helter skelter

Unchecked unguided

The book lay there

Read not beyond a few pages

It beacons, yet mind wavered

Sipped my hot ginger tea

Lazily picking up the cup from the table

The tea went down the hatch 

With soothing warmth

The hawker in the street shouted

What he said?  I didn't hear, 

Unconcerned ...

Have not exercised for days

Gluttnoy galore

Mind wants to feel bad

I say it's ok, take it easy

Enjoy the flow, as you go

Where have you to arrive

Why hurry, why worry

Things will happen as they happen 

Despite me

I am happy on my couch

Doing nothing

Enjoying my laziness
